Reflections from June 25..Cheeto in Charge in LA

I was in LA for work in June during the first troop deployment EVER in our country executed BY OUR OWN GOVERNMENT.....my heart was breaking.

For those of you concerned about America's future, listen to this. I am in downtown LA at a conference for work, trying to catch up on some email before bed.....and I believe the senseless destruction of our democracy has really begun. I am on the 18th floor, hearing constant sirens, explosions (gunshots), and hearing what sounds like chaos in the street. Helicopters fly overhead, and as my granddaughter is asleep in her bed, I cannot focus on the task at hand. I cannot believe that our republic is in this state. I do not believe my loved ones--both alive and already departed, fought in several wars, battling dictators, and war criminals--would believe this is happening before my very eyes.

As I sit here with tears in those eyes, I am terrified that a "wanna be dictator/king" has, with full support of his republican boot lickers and the spineless cabinet stooges, brought us to this state. To quote your leader (not mine) "We need to return rights to the states, and have less federal control over state affairs." I call bullshit as is evidenced outside of this beautiful hotel. I never thought my ability to explore a new city would be controlled by a curfew.

So my last words are, if you dislike what I have written, please remove me from your friends list as I can no longer feel we are friends when you support the "Cheeto in Charge" and what wrath he has chosen to inflict on our country. (Posted on Facebook/Instagram on 6/10/25)

Absence make the heart....

Long time, no talk. I'm now Dr. Davis, and teaching full time at an online university.  I love what I do. Someone once told me if you are lucky enough to find a job you love, you won't mind getting up and going to work every day. On the other hand,my hubby always said if work is too much fun, the proverbial THEY will call it play. I wanna play the rest of my life!

Now to change gears.....

I thought long and hard about resurrecting this old blog...too old of a tool, it isn't the short segments required to reach the "tic toc" audience, gotta have importance and relevancy  to reach an audience in today's online world. So I then questioned myself....what in the US has relevant importance for us all. I've always shied away from religion and politics in discussions with others.  But, I think it is time for this blogger to jump into the frey that is politics in America in 2025, and share thoughts as to whether we are living in a country that can be saved, or one that is too far gone to be salvagable. 

So here is the launch of my blog to get involved in the insanity we are living in today. It may be a bumpy ride but please come along with me as we discuss Saving America!

MACUL....wow!

Just got back today from my first MACUL conference...what an incredible conference filled with inspirational sessions and awesome tech ideas. So many great things to check out, I gotta make a list. Those of you who attended my session, thanks!!!! :-)
